Glazed stoneware
Created with glazed stoneware, a medium of symbolic importance traditionally used to make vessels this sculpture functions as a utilitarian wheel. Four gourd like sockets partially enclose around stone like balls which roll when the sculpture is moved along a surface, as if searching for something. Like scrolling with a computer mouse, the movement is accompanied by a rattling sound from the friction within.
